Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who is team-oriented, results driven and excited about shaping the future of the department and organization.

The senior accountant is part of a team responsible for driving the monthly close, providing timely and accurate reporting. This role is also responsible for communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.

CPA license is preferred with strong knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Job Responsibilities:

  • General accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, account and financial statement analysis
  • Prepares, examines or analyzes accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP
  • Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving and automating processes
  • Participate in system implementations or migrations and automation projects
  • Cross-train among the finance department and prepare documentation for various processes
  • Provide audit support for external audit, including substantive and controls-related work
  • Assist with acquisition integrations-validation of opening balances and subsequent activity
  • Oversight of accounting treatment for Inventory, Other Assets, Leases, Components of A/R, as well as a few other Misc. areas
  • Daily Cash activity analysis and posting, forecasting
  • Prepare fluctuation analysis through research and compilation of explanations
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests

  • Experience and Education:

    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
    • CPA license preferred
    • 5+ years experience in a similar role
