Aesthetician - Embry Aesthetics

Expanding medical spa with a focus on non-invasive-minimally invasive cosmetic procedures seeks Aesthetician to bring focus to the non-surgical body contouring elements of their business. The ideal candidate will have the skillset to take the patient through a complete journey from consultation to treatment and beyond. The individual will work in a team environment contributing to the highest-level patient experience.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of elective skincare services with an emphasis on fat reduction and skin tightening working under the direct supervision of the physician. Other responsibilities include patient education on treatment plans and protocol. Ensures patient satisfaction and recommends post-treatment products and services.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Laser certified is a plus but not necessary
  • Two years’ experience in a medical spa working as an aesthetician is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Educates patients on their unique body type and practice offerings and recommend treatments/regimens as appropriate through consultations.
  • Collaborates with patients on goals and objectives making recommendations on products and services that facilitate the attainment of those goals.
  • Seeks advice and supervision of physician as required on treatment protocols to achieve desired outcomes. Notifies physician of any noncompliance by patients.
  • Coordinates correspondence with patients regarding their treatment plan, product usage, and home care instructions.
  • Maintains patient medical records in detail.

Secondary Duties

  • Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains said equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with practice standards.
  • Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.
  • Tracks referral sources and sends thank-you notes to the appropriate patient.
  • Communicates inventory needs for retail and professional products.
  • Stocks inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining treatment rooms and retail areas.
  • Maintain a valid esthetician license in accordance with state regulations.
  • Performs other duties to provide support to the providers and as assigned by the supervisor.
